Buildings for a Buck in Chelsea, MI

Preservation Chelsea, a non-profit organization whose mission is to promote "the preservation of Chelsea's charm and historic integrity while supporting a vibrant and successful downtown," is pleased to announce that the City of Chelsea is now accepting proposals for the rehabilitation and adaptive reuse of the historic Longworth Complex.

Historic Photos & Journals of the former Wayne County Road Commission secured

Working with the Michigan Historical Museum, MotorCities has recently secured priceless historic photos and journals of the former Wayne County Road Commission. These artifacts were rescued previously by Nancy Darga, the Director of MotorCities National Heritage Area, from a dumpster during the turmoil days of reorganizing Wayne County in the 1980's.

Remembering Michael J Kollins


Several years ago, I had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Michael Kollins at the National Automotive History Collection located in Detroit, Michigan. We both had the pleasure to serve as Board of Trustee members for the National Automotive History Collection. Mr. Kollins was known as the perfect gentlemen and noted automotive historian.
